Saturday 10th December saw the third round of the Meadows Equestrian Centre Championships 2011/12 take place Lurgan. This competition runs in a league format and the final is due to take place in January.

The Novice team of Victoria Minford (Form III), Victoria Beattie (Form III), Mimi Jeffroy (Form III) and Amber Vick (Form I) finished the jump off on four faults, leaving them in 6th position.

The Open teams consisted of:

Anne Sheridan (MVI)

Courtney Ferris (MVI)

Sarah Sproule (LVI)

Ana Desmond (Form III)

Sarah Sproule (LVI)

Beth Moss (Form V)

Amy Wilson (Form V)

Amber Vick (Form I)

Pottinger team won the competition, putting them top of the leader board by 3 points with only one show to go. Cairns team finished on four faults, which was good enough to place them third.

In the Individual competition, Amber Vick (Form I) had the second fastest time of the day to finish second, with Victoria Minford on her new pony in fourth place.

The Showjumping team are competing this Saturday in the final of the Ulster Schools’ Showjumping Championships, where this year’s Ulster Champions will be crowned.
