ULSTER IRISH DANCING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Posted on

Bethany Hunter (Form 1) has become the 2014 Ulster Champion after winning at the Ulster Irish Dancing Championships, held at the Canal Court Hotel, Newry in October.  This is a tremendous achievement, especially when you realise that this is the 2nd year running that Bethany has been crowned Ulster Champion, following on from her first title in 2013 in Letterkenny.

The win at this year’s Championships caps a remarkable run of victories where she has won numerous local championships, as well as collecting the Northern Ireland Championship title in both 2013 and 2014.  The Ulster and N.I. titles are the two most prestigious in the Irish Dancing calendar, and for her particular festival-style of Irish Dance they are the highest accolades you can achieve.
