The Show Jumping team have had a fantastic start to the 2015-2016 season, with two podium finishes in two consecutive weeks. The team, consisting of Mimi Joffroy (MVI), Ana Desmond (MVI), Justine Harding (Form V) and Jessica Davidson (Form II) placed 2nd at the Inter-Schools’ Competition at Balmoral Park on the 3rd October, after finishing on a zero score over a notoriously large 1m track. The girls were pipped to the post by Down High School in a very competitive jump-off, where all 4 riders from B.R.A. jumped clear again. B.R.A. has not been placed as highly at Balmoral for several years, and this achievement has kick-started what looks to be a very promising season.

The following week, on 10th October, saw the girls compete at the second week of the Inter-Schools’ League at the Meadows Equestrian Centre in Lurgan. The team finished on 4 faults, but as the competition progressed it was clear that no teams were to finish on zero that day and so the B.R.A. team placed 3rd.  Ana Desmond and Justine Harding also placed 5th and 6th respectively in the Premier Individual Class (1.10m).  The next round of the league will take place on the 14th November, where the girls hope to continue their high-placing form.
