On Thursday 21st January, a team of KS3 and KS4 pupils from Belfast Royal Academy competed in the regional heat for the Royal Society of Chemistry ‘Top of the Bench’ competition. This competition is designed to encourage and reward high achievement and give pupils an insight as to what Chemistry is like in a university environment. The heat took place in the David Keir Building, Queens University Belfast. The team consisted of Olivia Donaldson and Ollie Parkes from Form III, Tom Spence from Form IV and Jasmine Ross from Form V.
The team finished a very creditable fourth out of fifteen teams from across the province. The experience gained was invaluable to the members of the team and we congratulate them on their performance.
