On Friday 18th March, the NIBTS ‘Blood Mobile’ visited School. 500 patients in Northern Ireland need a blood transfusion each week and there is an ongoing need for new donors. Belfast Royal Academy was pleased to support this voluntary activity.
65 pupils and staff took part in the session and 40 units of blood were donated. This was the first visit of the Blood Mobile to the School in approximately 10 years and we hope it will now become an annual fixture in the School calendar.
Many thanks to all the staff and pupils who took part!
