Keaton Morrison (Form III) and Tom McKibben (Form III) recently played in the Munster Boys U16 Amateur Open and the Ulster U16 Close Championships.  The Munster Championship was 2-day strokeplay event held at Blarney, Cork.  Tom was 5 shots behind the leader going into the second round, but after shooting the only under par round of the day, he managed to win the Championship by 3 shots with an impressive score of 69, to finish on 141.  Keaton finished a strong joint 3rd place in the tournament on 146.

The Ulster Championship was held at Castlerock Golf Club.  The close championship consists of a qualifying strokeplay round, followed by matchplay format.  Keaton was the leading qualifier by 6 shots, after carding a 72, going into the matchplay round.  Both boys navigated themselves to the final, where Tom eventually took the Ulster title after recording 6 birdies on his card.
