IRELAND’S LUCKY MASCOT

Posted on

We were delighted to see Form I pupil Alex Place lead the Ireland Rugby team, along with Captain Rory Best, out onto the pitch at the Aviva Stadium for the match against South Africa in November.

Not only was it a memorable day for Alex, but he was undoubtedly a lucky mascot for Ireland, as the game saw the men in green score a flurry of tries against the Springboks on the way to a comprehensive 38-3 victory.

He was also asked last week by the BBC to interview Ulster Rugby players Charles Piutau and Andrew Trimble.  So keep your eyes open for those interviews appearing on Facebook/Twitter over the next few months!
