Rachel Holden (LVI) took part in the PwC National Schools Employability Challenge with RateMyApprenticeship. The challenge aimed to support the development of talented students helping to equip them with the skills needed for future jobs or study. Over 7000 pupils from across the UK took part.
The challenge helps sixth form students to think about what professional skills they have to offer and how employable they are while guiding them through what it’s like to apply for a job. Students were required to answer a series of online, employability-based questions. Each month, ten champions were selected to attend the Final, which took place in March at the PwC More London Office. Rachel was a September Champion and as such was invited to attend. At the Final, the 60 Champions competed in a variety of career enhancing activities, challenges, insight sessions and presentations.
Rachel competed well during the final. Hannah from PwC said that, ‘She did a great job, as there were a lot of applicants to the competition this year!’
Rachel, along with the two NI finalists were invited to a celebration lunch at the Belfast Office.
Many congratulations to Rachel. She benefited greatly and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
