As part of Enterprise week, 30 Academy pupils visited the Innovation Factory, Belfast on Thursday 15th November. The Innovation Factory is part of the Belfast City Council’s ambition to develop and support social regeneration within the local Belfast area, whilst providing a state of the art facility for small business growth. Developed on the former Mackies Plant, in collaboration with Invest Northern Ireland & the European Regional Development Fund, IF aims to provide the state-of-the-art infrastructure and support small independent businesses require to thrive and grow.
Pupils were presented with future business opportunities from Graffiti Recruitment discussing Design, Gaming (programming and coding), Vlogging/Blogging and Social Media (advertising & marketing) within Northern Ireland. They were also afforded the opportunity to tour the innovation factory and meet Entrepreneurs on site.
