Eighteen of our pupils took part in a Multi Mini Interview Simulation Event in school on Monday 21st October. Our aspiring doctors, dentists and vets were put to the test at eight interview stations, designed to assess key skills and qualities required for these professions. These included questions and scenarios to test their communication and problem-solving skills, ability to think critically and make ethical decisions, their knowledge of healthcare/veterinary science issues and their level of maturity and compassion. Pupils from St Malachy’s and Dominican College, Belfast also participated. In total, thirty pupils were interviewed.
Many thanks to our visiting interviewers from Dominican College, St. Malachy’s, Edmund Rice College and Hazelwood Integrated College, and of course to Mr Murphy and Mrs Morris from school. A special word of thanks goes to Alex Crinion, Chloe Hall, Anna Midgley and Sophie Bloomfield for their role-play involvement; they were tremendous.
