HALLOWEEN SHORT STORY COMPETITION

Over 200 students entered the B.R.A. Halloween Short Story Competition 2013.  Judges were both terrified and tantalised by tales of ghosts, goblins and ghouls!  Students presented a range of spooky stories which were assessed on their ability to create atmosphere and convincing characterisation.

1st Place

Lucy Jamison 2CA2 with ‘Mr Linden’s Library’

2nd Place

Meghan Hamilton 2G with ‘The Old Piano’

3rd Place

Katie Purvis 2PO2 with ‘The China Doll’

Overall, the competition showcased the talent of B.R.A. pupils and provided an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge of the writer’s craft.
