Supporting The Academy

As a group of parents and teachers who are committed to enhancing the community that is Belfast Royal Academy, Friends of the Academy (FOTA) aims to bring together parents, staff and pupils in an enjoyable way which will help our children to achieve their best in a pleasant and thriving learning environment.

fota-02Activities are organised, sometimes for fundraising purposes and sometimes to provide a service to the School community, such as the uniform sales which occur throughout the year.  Our annual highlights include: a fabulous supper dance, a quirky and enjoyable quiz and a breakfast for the parents of our new pupils in Form 1.

fota-01We also help our school by sharing the varied professional talents and life skills that parents bring with them. Many of our parents give just a few hours per year to help, yet this secures success in our efforts to help the pupils.  We also help our dedicated teaching staff by supporting them in various events as much as possible, for instance serving refreshments at many of the school functions and parents’ evenings.
We hope that you will join us to build on our success and we look forward to welcoming many of you to our social events in the new academic year.

If you have any queries, or would like to register your interest in joining FOTA, please contact the General Office on 02890 740423.
