Our pupils achieved very pleasing results in the public examinations which they sat in June 2016, and can be viewed below.  Further details and analysis on the School’s examination results can be found in the Annual Report.

The GCSE Examinations (last year’s figures in parenthesis)

215 (206) pupils.

95% (91%) of pupils achieved A* to C in 7 or more subjects.

94% (91%) of pupils achieved A* to C in 7 or more subjects including English and Mathematics.

62 (69) of the pupils, 29% (34%) of the Form gained 7As or better.

98% (97%) of pupils achieved A* to C in 5 or more subjects.

97% (97%) of pupils achieved A* to C in 5 or more subjects including English and Mathematics.

In 14 (9) subject areas out of 25 (24) the A*-C pass rate was at least 95%.

In 18 (15) subject areas the A*-C pass rate was at least 90%.

Alice Reid and Jasmine Ross gained 11 passes at A*.

Out of 2149 (2051) subject entries 94% (93%) were passes at grades A* to C, 77% (77%) were passes at A* to B and 45% (44%) were passes at A* or A.

189 (185) pupils.

62% (64%) of the pupils achieved a minimum of 3Cs or better.

In 19 (17) subject areas out of 29 (26) there was a 100% pass rate.

Of the 699 (681) subject entries, the pass rate was 96% (94%).

Of all subject entries, 53% (51%) were passed at grades A or B and 75% (74%) were passed at grades A to C.

15% (13%) of the pupils gained at least 3 grade A passes.

26% (22%) of the pupils gained at least 2 grade A passes.

93% (93%) of the pupils gained at least 3 passes.

99% (97%) of the pupils gained at least 2 passes.

21 (27) pupils gained 2 grade A passes.

71% (73%) of the pupils achieved a minimum of 3Cs.

Out of 514 (522) subject entries, 62% (68%) were passed at grades A*, A or B and 86% (86%) were passed at grades A* to C.

10% (14%) of subject entries were awarded the A* grade.

26% (35%) of pupils achieved a minimum of 2As.

98% (95%) of the pupils gained at least 3 passes and 99% (99%) gained at least 2 passes.

Out of 514 (522) subject entries only 4 (4) were failed.

In 23 (20) subjects areas out of 27 (25) there was a 100% pass rate.

Ryan Corry and Ryan Lightowler gained 4 grade A* passes.

Callum Dalzell and Nicole Xu gained 3 grade A* passes and 1 grade A pass.
