Our Lifesaving team took part in the British National Speed Lifesaving Championships in Sheffield over the weekend of 16th & 17th March and had an extremely successful event, winning 4 Golds, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals.

The National Speed Championships, organised by the Royal Lifesaving Society, is the largest competition of its kind in the UK, and sees lifesaving athletes aged 12 and upwards from across the UK and Ireland competing for national titles in what is the only sport that has a humanitarian foundation.

Well done to all our competitors and congratulations to the medalists:

  • Jericho Balgos, Jack Angus, Ollie Parkes & Lorcan Gourley – 2 Gold medals (4 x 50m Obstacle Relay & 4 x 50m Medley Relay)
  • Jericho Balgos – Gold medal (100m Obstacles)
  • Jack Angus – Silver medal (100m Obstacles)
  • Luke Calwell – Gold medal (100m Rescue Medley)
  • Sinead Gourley – 2 Bronze medals (200m Super Lifesaver & 100m Rescue Medley)
  • Guilia Allen – Bronze medal (100m Obstacles)
