We have been inspired by the Netflix film ‘Yes Day’ and we are going to have our own version in May. Some lucky pupils and staff can present their proposals to Mrs Woods and she must say ‘Yes’!!!

This may mean donuts for your Tutor group; teachers having to play their favourite song when classes enter their rooms; a non-uniform day for your Tutor/Year group; a Tutor group watching a film in the Assembly Hall with popcorn; a day off for a member of staff etc. The options are endless and mind-blowing. Disclaimer: all proposals must be reasonable and rational, i.e. no ending school for summer at the start of April 😂

To be one of the lucky participants, you must collect as much money as you can for Marie Curie and NI Children’s Hospice. You can do this by getting people to sponsor you; give up some of your pocket money; doing extra chores around the house; helping a neighbour/relative; or if you are a member of staff giving up your expensive take-out cup of coffee for a week, etc.

Sponsor forms can be printed from Pupil Notes or you can get one from Mr Hughes in BB5.

The pupil in each Key Stage* and the member of staff who raises the most money for the charities by Friday 30th April will have their proposal granted by Mrs Woods on a day in May.

*(KS3 – Forms I-III; KS4 – Forms IV and V; KS5 – LVI and MVI)

House points will also be allocated to each pupil who raises money.
