Not since Russell Crowe fought the lions in the Colosseum in “Gladiator” has there been as much cut-throat competitive spirit on show (and very nearly as much bloodshed!?) in an arena as there was during the Teachers’ Charity Musical Chairs on Monday 23rd September!

As part of our Wellbeing Week on the topic ‘Mental Health and Resilience’, £200 was raised for Jigsaw Counselling Service. Thank you to all 26 teachers who took part and were such tremendously good sports, and congratulations to Dr Currie who triumphed against Mr McCarey in the final showdown. Maximus Decimus Meridius would have been proud! #areyounotentertained?

For her efforts, Dr Currie won an Afternoon Tea voucher for 2 at The Observatory at The Grand Central Hotel. Thank you to Mr Stephen Meldrum, General Manager of the Grand Central, for donating this wonderful prize. Dr McMurray also won a ‘spot prize’ of Sunday Lunch for a Family of 4 in the Malone Lodge Hotel.
